By car

Access to the Unit by car is easiest from Junction 11 of the M11. Follow the road through Trumpington, then turn right into Long Road. The junction is controlled by traffic lights and a sign to Addenbrooke’s Hospital is posted. Carry on down Long Road then turn right at the traffic lights on the junction with Hills Road. At the next roundabout, take the 9 o’clock exit but be warned that the roundabout has reversed priority half way round meaning you must give way to traffic coming from the south. Turn right at the next roundabout which is the main Hospital access. Follow the road, past the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) on the left, and take left or straight on at the next roundabout for the Visitors’ Parking Area.

By train

There are frequent train services to London’s King’s Cross and Liverpool Street stations and to Stansted Airport. Direct trains are also available to Birmingham, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Ipswich, King’s Lynn, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich, Peterborough and Sheffield.

By bus

The Unit is well connected by a frequent bus service to Cambridge city centre and the rail station.
