The Unit has number of Career Development Fellowships funded by the MRC. They provide a period of training and development for research scientists who have just completed their Ph D degree, who are moving into new research disciplines, who are clinically qualified with little or no research experience, or who have no previous training in key transferable skills. Usually they are funded for three years.
These positions become available from time to time.
Currently there are no such vacancies at the Unit.
Investigator scientist positions are open-ended appointments unless funded by external (non-MRC) grants, in which case a fixed-term appointment will be offered depending on the duration of the grant. A one year probation period is observed for all MRC posts.
Currently there are no such vacancies at the Unit.
