  • Judy Hirst - Structure and function of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I)
  • John Walker - Structural and functional studies of the ATP synthase
  • Edmund Kunji and Michael Murphy - Mitochondrial glutathione transport
Signalling pathways in mitochondria
  • Michael Murphy - Targeting molecules to mitochondria, mitochondrial radical production, thiol redox state and redox signalling
  • John Walker - Studies of signalling pathways in mitochondria by proteomic methods
  • John Walker - Assembly of respiratory complexes in mitochondria
Genetics
 Bioinformatics
  • Alan Robinson - Computer modelling of mitochondrial metabolism and bioenergetics
  • Edmund Kunji and Alan Robinson - Virtual screening and inhibitor design against the mitosomal ADP/ATP carrier of Entamoeba histolytica
