On 22 June, Mike Murphy delivered the Keith Reimer Distinguished Lecture of the International Society for Heart Research (ISHR) at the XXXIX Annual meeting of the Society’s European Section, held in Birmingham.
Dr Keith Reimer was a leader in the study of myocardial ischemia, and for 25 years moved that field forward in many important ways, including the discovery of ischemic preconditioning.
The Keith Reimer Distinguished Lecture was created in 2001 in honour of Dr Reimer’s contributions to scientific knowledge and to the ISHR.
