On Saturday, 14 October 2023, fifteen members of the MBU participated in the Big Biology Day, held at Hills Road Sixth Form College.
Using hands on, interactive activities, MBU members (senior and junior scientists) showcased the Unit's research on mitochondria, giving explanations and career advice.
Our activities this year included our MITOTrumps card game, "Find my mutant fruit fly", mitochondrial pinball and our "eliminating mutant mitochondrial DNA" game.
Once again, we had an enjoyable day - it was great to be able to talk to our visitors face to face - and we look forward to next year's event.
