On Wednesday, 4 October, members of the MBU and the LMB past and present, along with Fellows of Sidney Sussex College, members of John's family and friends, attended the unveiling ceremony of the portrait, by Frances Bell, of Professor Sir John Walker.
Of course, Frances Bell was there too. Frances is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and is the recipient of many awards.
The ceremony took place in Hall and was hosted by the new Master of Sidney Sussex, Martin Burton - after which guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea.
