For an article by Danielle Gerhard PhD, entitled “On the road to treating mitochondrial disease”, which was published in late 2021 in Drug Discovery News, Dr Michal Minczuk was interviewed on his modified zinc finger nuclease technology to target specific sequences in mitochondrial DNA.
Professor Carlos Moraes (University of Miami Miller School of Medicine), was also interviewed. Professor Moraes pioneered restriction endonucleases for degrading mutant mitochondrial DNA.
